James Bourne
New prints and hand made books by James, also part of the 'them lot' collective. James Bournes work is inspired by everyday journies, conversations and thoughts. The work is humorous, but often has dark undertones. A recent piece of work explored the possibility of what lied in an unopened envelope that has been sealed since February 1970. One idea was that the letter was from a School Headmaster, informing a Mother that her son's head had got caught in a giant pencil sharpener. Another, was an invitation to the launch party of Norman Greenbaum's single, Spirit in the Sky. Having recently become an A level Art tutor, James is now focusing on how traditional methods of Art can inform his work.
